ASN Admission Process

The ASN- 2 year program is all inclusive which means there are no preparatory/pre-requisiste courses required to apply. The program is competitive and not all who apply will be accepted into the program. The Admission Committee reviews completed files and evaluates them using a rubric. Some applicants may be invited in for an interview by the Admission Committee, before they make a final decision on who will be accepted. The most qualified applicants are selected. All applicants will be notified of decisions within 45-days of the application deadline.

The following items need to be submitted in order for you to be considered: 

  • Complete and submit the online application and pay the $50 application fee via phone or mail
  • Typed essay of approximately 500 words - topic on application
  • Official High School, GED or HiSET transcript 
  • Official College Transcript(s) from all postsecondary schools attended
  • Professional Evaluation- must be on school form
  • Proof of Health Insurance
  • Proof of Legal Residence in US
  • TEAS (pre-entrance exam) Official Results - register at
  • Letter from Dean, if attended but did not complete another nursing program
  • Applicants who attended school in another country must get a CED or WES official Translation of Foreign Transcript
  • Applicants born in a country where English is NOT an official language are required to take the TOEFL EXAM. Please refer to the Application Checklist for the only exception to taking this exam.  Passing scores are as follows: 20 in Speaking & Listening; 17 in Writing; 16 in Reading and 73 Overall
