LPN to ASN: Requirements to Apply

All applicants must hold a current Practical Nursing license. Applicants need to have graduated from an accredited school and Board of Nursing approved Practical Nursing program or equivalent education. Required nursing courses from PN program must be completed with a final grade of B- (80%) or better. Applicants must also meet the preparatory course requirements listed below. 

Preparatory Courses required prior to entry:
All courses must have been taken at an accredited postsecondary institution and must meet the necessary requirements listed below.

A&P l with lab - final grade of 80 (B-) or better; taken as part of a completed degree/program or within 5 years
A&P ll with lab - final grade of 80 (B-) or better; taken as part of a completed degree/program or within 5 years
English Comp I – final grade of  78 (C+) or better; taken as part of a completed degree/program or within 10 years
Intro to Psychology - final grade of  78 (C+) or better; taken as part of a completed degree/program or within 10 years
Life Span Development - final grade of  78 (C+) or better; taken as part of a completed degree/program or within 10 years

If accepted, applicants must also pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
